THE MAJOR LEAGUE OF FOOTGOLF
IN THE UNITED STATES

Hello!

My name is Angel Reyes, I grew up in the city of Azusa, California “The Canyon City” and now I reside in Glendale, CA.  I come with a long history of soccer; I’ve been playing since I was 3-4 years old and developed a strong leg. I played soccer and was the place kicker for our football teams throughout HS and college. It became clear that I had a monster of a leg so I kept on playing Soccer and became a specialist in free kicks and placing the ball. I’m still active in Soccer to this day but a decade ago I fell in love with Golf. Not in my wildest dreams did I think I would find out about FootGolf. The greatest game ever invented. “Are you kidding me, a hybrid sport between the two greatest sports ever, a combination of Soccer and Golf, I’m in heaven.” I am an ambassador of the game and any chance I get I introduce and talk about FootGolf to new players in my community.

Rewind to four years ago, a few Soccer friends asked me to join them to try this new sport “FootGolf” at a golf course , I was hesitant because they said bring a size 5 soccer ball and turf shoes? I said to myself, how are we going to be allowed in a golf course with a soccer ball and no golf clubs?  They had to beg me to come out because in their mind I was going to be good at this new sport; little did we know , it turned out I was great. They never invited me again! A few weeks past by and my brother Marco Reyes invited me to go play FootGolf and we just fell in love with the sport that we invited our cousin Pier Valdez. We loved it so much that we created Canyon City FootGolf Club. We joined the American FootGolf League (AFGL) and participate in all the tournaments throughout the year.

I am the 2016 U.S. Champion; 2019 US National Champion. #1 ranked player in the US in 2016 and 2019. Runner up at the 2016 US PRO AM. Top 5 at the 2019 US OPEN. Over 30 top 10 finishes and many podium finishes. Member of Team USA for FIFG World Cups and All Stars Team Team for Jansen Cup (Same as Ryder Cup), AFGL All Stars Team Pacific Trophy vs Team Japan, All Stars vs Mexico All Stars. My goals for the next two years are to conquer Europe, become #1 ranked player in the world, win the US OPEN and become a World Champion as well as leading my club to a National Championship.
