Format

The top 3 clubs, not including the champion, from the previous year will host each Round of Six match against one of the remaining 3 clubs at random draw.

Each club’s top 4 player’s scores from the first round of the AFGL 250 will determine the seeding in a ranking system #2-4 with the Club Champion from the previous year taking the #1 seed. 6 players per club will participate in different matches consisting of four-ball, foursome (alternate shot) and 2 singles.

Schedule

  • Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2 (Holes 1-18)

Matches

  • Tee Time #1: Four-ball

  • Tee Time #2: Foursome (alternate shot)

  • Tee Time #3: Single

  • Tee Time #4: Single

  • * 4 tee times; every 6 minutes

Subtitutions

Each club can use (2) subs during the round. Once a player comes out, they cannot go back in during the same round.

If a club has used both of their subs during the round and another player gets hurt;

1) the injured player continues to play.

2) the match continues with 1 player if the injury occurs in fourball.

3) the match is forfeited.

Tie Breakers

Each club can use (2) subs during the round. Once a player comes out, they cannot go back in during the same round.

If a club has used both of their subs during the round and another player gets hurt;

1) the injured player continues to play.

2) the match continues with 1 player if the injury occurs in fourball.

Round of Six: In the event there is a tie after the 4 matches; these teams will select an order for their 6 players (1-6) to take penalty putts from a distance of 12 yards (Penalty Putt location TBD).

The top 5 players from each club’s selected 6 will take penalty putts. If the match is still tied, then it will continue with the 6th player shooting for sudden death.

The player order will continue in sudden death until a winner is determined. Sudden death is when the game will end when a shot is made by one team and a missed by the other.

Semi & Final: In the event there is a tie after the 4 matches; These clubs will select their top 4 players to play a 3-hole singles match play tie breaker (Holes 16-18). 4 tee times; every 5 minutes. If they are still tied, then they will determine the winner by penalty putts to be played the same way as the Round of Six.
