My name is Piero Menor (video) and I grew up in Madrid Spain where I played football at a semiprofessional level in different teams. I played 6 years for Atletico de Madrid Academy winning the Spanish National Championship in 1999. I also played in teams in Ireland and Denmark before arriving to the US in 2006 where I got a scholarship to play NAIA Division 1 at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, MO.
During my time in Missouri I studied TV Production and won a student Emmy in 2008 for producing a TV show called “Entiendes”. I moved to Miami in 2010 where I started my professional career as a journalist, Tv Producer and TV host. I have worked for numerous outlets and TV stations in Miami including GOLTV, Bein Sports and Telemundo where I currently work.
I discovered FootGolf in 2014 while working for a TV Show and felt in love instantly with the sport. Since that day, I played more than 20 international tournaments and two World Cups (Argentina and Marrakech). I was the first ever Spanish player to play a World Cup in 2016.
Regarding my results, I’ve been very close to win the US National Championship twice (2017 and 2019) finishing
second in 2017 and third in 2019. I won two times the Cancun Open in Mexico (2018 and 2019) and the International Miami Open in 2017. I played several tournaments in Europe. My biggest achievement in FootGolf was in 2018 when we reach the World Cup semifinals with Spain in our first World Cup appearance as a team in Marrakech.
FootGolfos in 2016, a fan page with the best entertainment related to FootGolf.
My main goal is to keep competing at the highest level of the sport while I promote FootGolf everywhere I go. I believe at this point its necessary to be proactive, since the sport is very young. As I always say, its not what FootGolf can do for you, we should all be thinking what can all give to FootGolf.
I am grateful to my family and to my supporters for making this journey possible.
