A weekend of FootGolf, fun and fan experiences - the Las Vegas FootGolf Open to bring community partnership, raise awareness for nonprofits and launch a local league.

A Time for Thanks... For Family, Friends, and FootGolf!
Who else is gearing up for the 1st AFGL Tour tournament in sunny Las Vegas not even a month after we welcome 2024?! So many preparations are happening for this event, which you all know includes BOTH the 3rd Battle of the Border and Las Vegas Open at Chimera Golf Club! This tournament is also the next stop along The Road to Great Britain and will qualify AFGL Tour players for Team USA for the Jansen Cup IV Edition in Scotland in August 2024.
Not only are we planning a complete redesign of the FootGolf course at Chimera Golf Club, specifically for the Las Vegas Open 2024 and 3rd Battle of the Border, but we are working with community partners and sponsors to introduce FootGolf to the Southern Nevada community. Our two nonprofit partners, CARE Coalition and FEAT of Southern Nevada will be promoting our event within the larger community. Chimera Golf Club will also be promoting the event on their mailing list and website. We will be working with the Tuscany Village HOA and the surrounding neighborhood associations in Henderson, Nevada.
Our goal is to bring the community to Chimera Golf Club with fan zone experiences and spectator galleries along several holes of the Championship Course! In the coming days and weeks, we’ll have more details about the events, activities, and tournament experience, but... here’s a quick overview of what you have to look forward to in January!
FAN ZONE EXPERIENCES
3-kicks per ticket plus a raffle ticket and an extra kick with the added challenge of the CARE Coalition fatal vision goggles.
Player specific putting challenge – goggles only!
FootGolf Long Range Drive Challenge
From the 1st tee after the final Las Vegas Open round each day – farthest in the air and farthest total drive wins the day (age group prizes and awards)!
FootGolf Pro-Am 9-hole Short-course Challenge
Post-Las Vegas Open Round event to include participant groups and an AFGL player to guide, instruct, or play along.

Fan Spectator Galleries
Tournament viewing areas with Chimera and Slice 19 food and beverage carts and tables to create a true tournament atmosphere!
CARE Coalition Activity Zone
Focused on increasing public awareness of the effects of drug and alcohol abuse, CARE Coalition will bring their substance use reduction programming activities to include:
Intoxicated Driver Pedal Racer – put on the fatal vision goggles and see if you can pass the test!
Cornhole Challenge – throwing a bean bag might seem easy but add the fatal vision goggles and who knows where those bean bags will land!
Walk the Line – before you hit the bar, put on the fatal vision goggles, and see if you can walk the line, the Sobriety Line!
FEAT of Southern Nevada Sensory Section
Specializing in services and resources for children and families with Autism, FEAT of Southern Nevada will bring sensory bags, games, and activities:

The CARE Coalition team will be handing out substance use and abuse prevention materials and outreach information as well as providing resources available to the community or other community event schedules.
FEAT of Southern Nevada
The FEAT of Southern Nevada team will have a sign-up for the FEAT FootGolf Academy, a local partnership with the AFGL to provide FootGolf instruction, practice rounds, and tournaments for FEAT children and families.
They will also be distributing resources, materials, and information to support children and families with Autism.
AFGL
The AFGL will be actively recruiting and registering people interested in joining local amateur and youth leagues.
In partnership with FEAT of Southern Nevada, the AFGL will support the registration process for children and families with Autism as part of the FEAT FootGolf Academy (coming to Chimera Golf Club Spring 2024)
