PRIVACY POLICY

American FootGolf League (AFGL) is committed to securing your privacy. As part of our ongoing commitment to secure your privacy, AFGL has updated its policies to reflect the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards. The GDPR is a privacy law enacted in the European Union (EU) that regulates how any organization that controls or processes personal data treats or uses the personal data of people located in the EU. Personal data is any piece of data that, used alone or with other data, could identify a person. As of May 25, 2018, any organizations that collect, transmit, erase, or otherwise use or store the personal data of EU citizens are required to comply with the GDPR.

AFGL has been preparing for the enforcement of the GDPR by reviewing and modifying its internal policies. Throughout your journey with AFGL, AFGL may ask you for personal data such as name, gender, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. AFGL collects this personal data at various points throughout your interaction with AFGL, including when you sign up to receive a newsletter, sign up as a member, register for a tournament, or registration as a footgolf club. AFGL will retain this data for the duration of your relationship, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Your personal information will only be used to provide you with the products and services you have requested from us. From time to time, AFGL may also contact you with details about tournaments, courses, or product or service offers. However, AFGL has also reviewed its contracts with and confirmed GDPR compliance by its third-party vendors, and will continue to monitor and regularly audit these vendors’ processes to ensure their ongoing compliance. For additional information regarding these vendors’ data protection processes, you may read more about their efforts to comply with GDPR at the following addresses:
