The Stars vs. Las Estrellas

The FootGolf Battle of the Border is an invitational biannual competition between players of American FootGolf League (AFGL) and Campeonato Mexicano de FootGolf (CMFG).

Invited players represent FootGolf leagues, not national teams.

Top players of the American FootGolf League traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico for the First Battle of

the Border. This talented team of AFGL players won the inaugural event and took home the title.

AFGL vs. CMFG

International Interleague Competition

INVITATIONAL

The First Battle of the Border in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was an 18-Hole competition played June 28th along with the FGMX Tour 250 tournament on June 27th-28th, 2019. The Second Battle of the Border is schedule to be played during the AFGL tour event on November 7th and 8th at Tahquitz Creek Golf Club in Palm Springs, California, along with the AFGL Tour 250 tournament during the FootGolf Desert Storm 2019.

 

Format of competition and replacements are decided by U.S. and Mexican team captains. The teams created for this competition are not the national teams of Mexico or United States. Member players of AFGL and CMFG have qualified through one of the leagues and are not required to be citizens of Mexico or USA.  They may represent their birth or resident countries in the FIFG World Cup or other International competitions.

The Campeonato Mexicano de FootGolf (Team CMFG) and the American FootGolf League (Team AFGL) will cover the registration costs and green fees for the Battle of the Borders rounds as well as provide uniforms to all participant players. This biannual event is for those players who either qualified for an invitation through tournaments or were invited to participate based on open spots.
