THE MAJOR LEAGUE OF FOOTGOLF
IN THE UNITED STATES

Desert Willow Golf Resort has emerged as the favorite place to play in the Palm Desert Oasis area for many. In fact, Golf Digest named the Firecliff course one of the "Places To Play." This tournament tested layout is one of only three courses in California and one of the best 50 in the United Sates to receive this distinction in terms of conditioning. This was the course used for the National Championship of FootGolf.

 

The layout for the U.S. FootGolf Championship 2017 was designed by Roberto Balestrini, founder of the AFGL and Jason Wilkinson, Tournament Director of Desert Willow Golf Resort. Playing at 3,205 yards, the very fast surface was a true test of skill where players had to negotiate their way around extensive natural areas, over one hundred bunkers, and numerous water features.

 

American FootGolf League, as governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the US, under the umbrella of the Federation for International FootGolf, wants to thank the 122 AFGL Members from 23 states and guest players from Mexico and Canada for their passion and incredible support of the tournament.
