AFGL RECREATIONAL CLUBS • A renowned Southern California scientist and FootGolf enthusiast, started an annual "new tradition" event a few years ago and officially launched a Social Club under the AFGL umbrella this season. Wishing them much success!

"Finest City FootGolf Club" launches as an AFGL Recreational FootGolf Club with the overall mission of growing the game in San Diego County. Generally speaking, we aim to recruit new players to the sport, encourage existing players to play more often and more competitively in AFGL tournaments, and coalesce as a unified customer group to foster a more active relationship with the golf course management locally. 

This role as the proverbial voice of FootGolf in San Diego, California will help bring about improvements on the existing courses and introduce FootGolf to more golf courses. More specifically, we will organize events such as local club tournaments, tournaments against other clubs, and events/tournaments for the general public.

Two unique events on which the club already has significant momentum are "Guerrilla FootGolf" and the annual "Ugly Christmas Sweater FootGolf Debacle". 

Following from that, key core values of the club will always be finding ways to make FootGolf more financially accessible, always be welcoming and encouraging to new players, and always be exploring alternatives to golf courses to play FootGolf.

Longer term goals of "Finest City FootGolf Club" include ascension to the status of a competitive club in the AFGL Clubs First Division and participation in the club championships, the installation of FootGolf into a truly tournament-worthy course in San Diego, and the subsequent hosting of a larger AFGL tournament. 

​T​he FCFGC home courses are Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course (Carlsbad, CA), The Welk Resort (Escondido, CA and Reidy Creek Golf Course (Escondido, CA, as well as any number of grassy parks for “Guerrilla FootGolf”. 

Founded upon a love for the game and the camaraderie of a shared passion, "Finest City FootGolf Club" looks to bring people together to play and live FootGolf in America's Finest City for many years to come!
